Chavez is full of wonderful teachers, but Mrs. Rivera is one that stands out. Mrs. Rivera has been teaching almost fifteen years at Cesar Chavez High School.  “I have been at Chavez since the doors opened in 2005. ” 

She has been the one of the most helpful teachers in our school. “I don’t consider myself helping, if a student or staff member asked me a question or needed something I am more than happy to lend a hand, we are all team members and need to work together.”

Mrs. Rivera is involved with the school and in charge of many clubs.  “I love to chaperone student events.  Without chaperones students would not be able to have the fun extra events that are offered or planned.  About clubs, I am advisor to only five clubs.”  

She is helpful to many teachers, staff, and students. She is always creative in her own way and is well prepared for her students. Mrs. Rivera also is the tech person on campus so if you need technology help she is the one everyone calls.  She is in charge of the webpage and keeps it up to date.  She is related to almost everyone on campus. (this is a running joke because she really is.)  We never see her upset or mad and she always has a smile on her face even though we know sometimes she isn’t.
