Mrs. Rohles is a Business Skills teacher here at Cesar Chavez High School. She was born in Modesto, but raised in Manteca, CA, and attended Chico State University in Chico, CA.
Some hobbies she enjoyed during her High School years were playing volleyball, and softball, being in leadership, and being a class officer in most of her classes her junior and senior year. One thing that most people don’t know about Mrs. Rohles is that she studied abroad in Italy for her first semester in college which she enjoyed.
It is her fifth year being a Business teacher at Cesar Chavez High School and she loves her job. The Business Skills class is a two-course pathway, Business One is more of a personal finance class that teaches you how to get a job, career exploration, interviewing, first impressions, resumes, budgeting, banking, credit, and credit cards. Business Two is more of a small business entrepreneurship class that teaches you how to start a business, business entities, franchising, and running a business.
Mrs. Rohles states “The best part of being a teacher is building a relationship with students and seeing the difference I can make with them, I pride myself on making it a real-life connection with students that will use all this information after high school.”
Some advice that Mrs. Rohles would give to a student is, “High school seems like it’s hard, seems like it’s the biggest thing, but it’s really just focusing on what you can learn in high school and being successful, being your best self every day. I think that’s huge and your development as teenagers and into your adult life. Always do your best because if you get into that habit that will be your outlook and being positive so think positive and be your best self. If you keep that outlook going forward I really think that you will have a bright future and work hard to be successful.”
