It’s time to meet a teacher I admire. Meet Ms. Alvarez. She is a Spanish/ Spanish Native and a World language teacher from Cesar Chavez. She began teaching in 2015, which means this upcoming school year will mark 10 years since she joined.   

She attended the University of the Pacific and, in her classroom, reps UC Santa Barbara. 

One of her favorite hobbies was photography, especially in high school. She would hang out with her friends and take pictures of everything they did and saw. 

Her best advice was, “Don’t be too hard on yourself, you are doing the best you can with the information you have.” 

If she had a superpower, she would fly because she wouldn’t be stuck in traffic and would be where she wanted to go. If she wanted to go to any fictional world, she would go to Pandora from the Avatar movie. When she went to Disney World, it looked so pretty and cool.  

In the end, Ms. Alvarez is an excellent teacher. At first, I thought she was scary, but she is nice, friendly, humble, and down-to-earth.
