The Flash was officially announced in 2013. This show talks about The Flash’s origin and it will follow his journey as a superhero. This show was first broadcasted on October 7, 2014. The last episode that came out was on April 14, 2015. This show comes out every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on CWTV.

The major characters in the first episode of this show are Barry Allen, Iris West, Detective Joe West, Dr. Harrison Wells, Caitlin Snow, and Cisco Ramon. Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka The Flash is a young and smart investigator that works for the Central City Police Department. As a child, Barry is taken in by Detective Joe West after the death of his mother. Candice Patton as Iris West is Barry’s Best Friend and Detective Joe’s daughter. She is also the girlfriend of Eddie Thawne. Detective Joe West is a detective for the Central City Police Department and he is the father of Iris. He raises Barry after his dad is accused of his mother’s murder. Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells is the man who created the STAR Lab’s particle accelerator. He is technically behind the explosion of the particle accelerator which later gives Barry his powers. Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow is STAR Lab’s bioengineering expert. She is a member of Dr. Harrison’s team. Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon is the guy that makes Barry’s tech-outfits. Cisco is a mechanical engineering talent. He is the youngest member of Dr. Harrison’s team.

The minor characters of the first episode are Eddie Thawne, Clyde Mardon, Nora Allen and Henry Allen. Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne is the partner of Detective Joe West and is the boyfriend of Iris. Chad Rook as Clyde Mardon is a bank robber that was effected by the particle accelerator explosion while he was escaping from Detective Joe West. Due to the explosion, Clyde also got powers like Barry did. He has the powers to control or create the weather. Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen is Barry’s mother. She was killed by a mysterious power when Barry was young. John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen is Barry’s father. He was blamed for his wife’s death and sent to jail for his whole life. Barry is trying to find the mysterious thing that killed his mom to prove that his dad did not kill her.

The first episode of The Flash is about a boy named Barry Allen that witnessed his mother get killed by a mysterious force. Barry gets taken in by Detective Joe West, the father of his best friend Iris West. Later Barry becomes a smart forensic investigator for the Central City Police Department. One day, Iris and Barry go to STAR Labs to check out their new invention which is called the particle accelerator. While they are there, a thief steals Iris’s computer and takes off. Barry chases him until he has no where else to go. The police showed up right after and arrested the man. Barry went back home because he  started getting weird flashbacks to the day his mother was murdered. A while later, he was hit by a lightning bolt due to an explosion caused by the particle accelerator at STAR Labs. He was in a coma and woke up six months later. He starts noticing weird things happening to him like running really fast at times and seeing everything in slow motion. He decides to use his powers to fight crime in the city.

I think that The Flash is a good show for a few reasons. One reason is because it is interesting. Another reason is because it has a good story to it so far. These are my reasons why I think that The Flash is a good show.
