As 2017 left us so fast, so did our appeal for that year’s games, including the most common trends and addictive genres. I have taken the liberty to show you the most memorable games of last year. These games include new themes and engines that make them unique and memorable.

For Honor

   For Honor is a third person hack and slash game, with some RTS (Real-Time Strategy) aspect to it. This game uses historical forms of soldiers and warriors, including knights, samurai, and vikings within medieval setting and themes.

   Each faction from Knights, samurai, and vikings all have unique play styles aspects to them. As Vikings are strong and come equipped with powerful attacks, while the samurai has weak attacks but imply keen and agile strikes to overwhelm there opponent.

  This game brings a unique to which enhances the game to another level, “Art of battle”.This let’s players to interact with AI (Artificial intelligence) or other players and form into battle, allowing you to real time attack and even counter. The game is now released on Microsoft Windows, Xbox one, and PlayStation 4.

 Prey

  Prey is a first-person shooter video game made by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda softworks. In prey, the player controls Morgan Yu while exploring the space station Talos I, in orbit around Earth–Moon.  Where research into a hostile alien collective called the Typhon is performed. As the Typhon escape confinement, the player uses a variety of weapons and abilities derived from the Typhon to avoid being killed by the aliens while looking to escape the station.

  Prey takes place in an alternate timeline where United States President John F. Kennedy survives his attempted assassination in 1963. The failed assassination  catalyzes Kennedy to direct more funding into the space program, allowing it to flourish and accelerating the Space Race.This game is released worldwide on all common platforms as of Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing video game developed by guerrilla Games  and published by Sony interactive Entertainment . The plot revolves around Aloy, a hunter and archer living in a world overrun by machines. This games is a PS4 released only title, as announced at E3 2015.

The player uses ranged weapons and a spears and stealth tactics to combat the mechanized creatures, whose remains can be looted for resources. A skill tree provides the player with new abilities and passive bonuses. The game features an open world environment for Aloy to explore.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo switch and Wii U video game console. This game is released for Xbox one, PS4, and PC.

As a result, the title’s game play introduced new mechanics and designs, including featuring an open-world environment, a detailed physic engine, high-definition visuals, and voice acting. Breath of the Wild received critical acclaim for its open-ended game play, which encourages experimentation and exploration, and many called it a landmark in open-world design, this game has also been highly rated by many respected organization like 10/10 on IGN and Polygon, and evermore this game truly upholds to all the press it reserved.
