2018 is the year for some amazing movie premieres and new releases such as Avengers Infinity Wars, Deadpool 2, and most recently The Nun. However, another big movie is starring one of the all-time vicious predators in the history of the earth that swam our waters around 2.6 million years ago. Earlier this year Hollywood brought the monster back to our waters and created The Meg.

The Meg is a thriller/fantasy movie which tales the tale of Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) encountering and trying to kill a Megalodon. A megalodon is a 60 feet shark that hunted our waters millions of years ago. The cast consist of Ruby Rose, Bingbing Li, and Page Kennedy to name a few. The movie came out August 10th, 2018 and was a smash hit at the box office. The weekend it came out it made around $44.5 million. The movie opened the public to the viewing of the true depths and horror that are hidden under the waves.
