Ben Affleck is passing the torch to a new actor who will be playing Batman in an upcoming solo bat film. Affleck has appeared in three movies so far as the caped crusader; Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Suicide Squad. The director of the up and coming Batman movie, Matt Reeves, is looking for a new and younger actor to play Bruce Wayne and the DArk Detective. Warner Bros. have set their next rendition of Batman for June 25, 2021. As their is plenty of time for them to find a younger actor to fill the new role. Affleck worked very hard on the Batman role but, knew he wasn’t the right fit for Matt Reeves Batman. 

Affleck is very excited for this new Batman movie when its set to release but, still unclear if he will play Batman in the other DC movies like Suicide Squad 2, Birds of Prey, or whenever the next Justice League movie comes out. Recasting for a new Batman should be before the year ends and go into 2020 shooting the movie and for it to come out in 2021. Matt Reeves wants to do his own story of Batman and wants to do something different as compared to the Dark Knight trilogy. He wants this movie to make Batman the “worlds greatest detective” which will allow his character to go through an ark and transformation. What this means is that most Batman movies are a ton of action and not who he really was created to be. Batman is supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, but we have yet to see him become a true investigator. Solving crimes and tracking down the main villain with added action is the hope from Reeves new version. Reeves also confirms that there is going to be a very big rouges gallery for Batman to go through.
