Spider-Man was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko. Spidey first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962). From then on the webslinger of New York has been defending its neighborhoods. He has earned movies, TV shows, action figures, and many loving and adoring fans. However, Peter Parker has also earned another video game which is one to remember.

Marvel Spider-Man was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on September 7, 2018. It has  already become the best selling PS4 game with over nine million copies sold. The game includes a story line that focuses on hidden lore about the characters, combat fights with classic villains, and an ending which will give you a roller coaster of emotions. For die hard Spider-Man fans there are plenty of Easter eggs related to the comics, movies, and even more characters that are related to the Spider-Man Universe.

The graphic designs of the game bring to life New York’s famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and reflected in some buildings windows are reflections of the twin towers honoring them by showing us they aren’t forgotten. They have added Marvel buildings such as Avengers Tower and Oscorp. The game included fan favorite suits such as the Iron Spider suit, the classic Sam Raimi suit, and many more. Along with DLC and many side quest the game has also hints at a future sequel game to come.

The New York web slinger has swung into our hearts and screens once again. This game is well worth a play or even a watch a friend play it just to experience the story itself. For fans it is a heartwarming and action packed game. And don’t forget to look out for the always expected San Lee cameo.
