Destiny 2: Shadowkeep – Gamescom Trailer [REVIEW]

On August 19th, a new Destiny 2: Shadowkeep trailer was released at Gamescom. As expected, the gameplay was from the moon, the expansion’s returning location. It also showcased new gear, slow-motion finishing moves, and a veil-like exotic maskthe Assassin’s Cowl. According to sources, the mask, which is used by Hunters, grants invisibility and restores a portion of health and shields when you defeat an in PvE with a finishing move or a guardian in PvP with a melee move.

The Assassin’s Cowl will use the new Armor 2.0 system which is coming in Shadowkeep and New Light. Bungie discussed the changes that the new system incorporates in a live-stream a week before the trailer released, and game director Luke Smith added more detail in his recent update on the state and future of the game.

Shadowkeep and New light will arrive on October 1st, 2019. From the looks of things, Bungie is going to experiment with some new powerful mods that will only be unlocked by upgrading your artifact. One example shown on stream was a mod that would grant your entire team a heavy ammo brick after you perform a finishing move.

Many fans are anticipating this new update due to the fact that it will play a huge role in determining the future state of the game. However, another reason for the excitement is due to the nostalgia-like feeling of a certain character being brought backCrota. Crota, the final boss from Crota’s End, is being brought back into the story-line despite being four years old. This addition has made a lot of the old Destiny fans happy. All there is to do now, is wait for the release date.
