Pokémon Sword & Shield – Official Camp, Character Customization, And New Pokemon Reveal
Nintendo revealed new features and additions for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield during their recent Nintendo Direct back on September 4. Within the first minute, we are shown two new Pokémon: Cramorant and Polteageist. Cramorant is a dual-type Flying/Water Pokémon which can change forms with its Gulp Missle Ability: an ability which launches its catch any Pokémon that damages it. Polteageist is a Ghost-type Pokémon with the ability “Weak Armor.”
Aside from new Pokémon releases, we were also shown a brand new feature: Camps! These camps will allow you and your Pokémon to spend some time in the wilderness. You will also be able to play with a handful of Pokémon in this 3D environment, waving toys and showing them affection. You can even cook for them, as the Camp features a pot where you can make over a hundred of different curry recipes. These different curries will give various bonuses to your gang of Pokémon!
One feature that has been expanded on is the new detailed character customization options. Previous games in the series have allowed players to customize their top and bottom clothing, but now it seems we will be able to add outerwear, gloves and other accessories. This will pretty interesting due to the fact that multiplayer raids will be available for players to showcase their new hairstyles and clothing.
Pokémon Sword and Shield will be globally released on November 15, 2019.
