My Top 10 High School Movies of All Time
You’ve probably read our last article on the Top 10 Horror movies of All Time, well this time I will be doing a list of My Top Ten High School Movies of all Time.
- Weird Science: Two High School nerds named Garry Wallace and Wyatt Donnelly fail at all times to be accepted by their peers, so they use a computer program to create the perfect woman to feel more confident, but she brings many hilarious obstacles that require them man up.
- Breakfast Club: Five High School students named Claire, Andrew, John, Brian, and Allison meet in Saturday detention. They all realize they have more in common than they thought. To the world they will always be a Princess, an Athlete, a Criminal, a Brain, and a Basket case, but to themselves they will always be the Breakfast Club.
- Napoleon Dynamite: A spiritless and detached teenager decides to help his new friend win the class presidency in rheir small Western High School, while he’s dealing with his twisted family back home.
- Grease: A guy named Danny Zuko and an Australian girl named Sandy Olsson fall in love over the summer, but what they don’t know is they are attending the same school, Rydell High. Danny’s the leader of the T-Birds, while Sandy hangs with the pink ladies a group of high school ladies led by Rizzo. When they meet at Rydell High’s first clash, Danny isn’t the same Danny from the beach. They strive to be like each other so they can be the same.
- American Pie: Four Teenage boys make a pact that they will lose their virginity by prom night.
- Karate Kid:(original) A boy named Daniel and his mother move to California for a new job. He struggles to fit in, as a group of kids that do karate bully him for dating the rich girl from their group of friends. He finds his savior, Mr. Miyagi, to teach him karate so he can protect himself.
- Fast Times at Ridgemont High: A group of Southern California High School students go through their daily lives. Friday night football games, making out at the baseball field, work getting in the way, and more.
- Boyz n the Hood: The story of life in South Central LA, Tre Styles moves in with his father, who is trying to teach him self-respect and self worth, which isn’t easy in a neighborhood where crime and drugs are everywhere. By the age of 17 Tre is a level headed young man who stays out of trouble, unlike Doughboy, one of his good friends who is in and out of jail. His brother has a football scholarship and will be leaving soon. Tre works hard to be true to his father and to his friends, but violence can change that in an instant.
- Back to the Future: Marty McFly a 17 year old High School student is accidentally sent thirty years back in a time traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the scientist Doc Brown.
- Mean Girls: Cady Heron is a hit with the plastics, the A-list girl group at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling in love with Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of Alpha Plastic Regina George.
