Nintendo and PlayStation recently showed off updates to current games and announced some new games as well. Nintendo and PlayStation held their live streams on September 14, 2023. Nintendo had a Nintendo Direct in this showcase and they announced some new games as well as some remasters. Some highlights were Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, Super Mario RPG, Princess Peach Showtime, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, F-Zero 99, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Final Wave DLC, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
PlayStation later that day had their State of Play, and they had some announcements and updates. Some highlights included Roblox coming to PlayStation, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord (PSVR 2), Resident Evil 4 VR update (PSVR 2), Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC, The Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ghost Runner 2, Helldivers 2, Spider-Man 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. These were the Highlights of the PlayStation State of Play.
The next gaming event is around the corner, Tokyo Game Show 2023 will run from September 21st through the 24th. Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is a gaming convention where games are announced and awards for games are given. Xbox, 505 Games, Sega/Atlus, CAPCOM, Square Enix, and other companies will be there to share updates and games.
Capcom will show off Street Fighter 6, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Monster Hunter Now, Exoprimal, and the Resident Evil 4 VR Mode for the PSVR 2. Xbox will share updates for games and show a diverse collection of games from creators located in Japan and across Asia. They will also announce more games coming to Game Pass. Sega/Atlas, Square Enix, and 505 Games will show updates to their games as well. On September 23rd and 24th, there will be a Japan Game Awards.
