Hurry Up Tomorrow is the third album in The Weeknd’s trilogy, released on January 31, 2025. It is claimed to be the last album by The Weeknd because he will now be creating music under his real name, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye.
This was an amazing album to listen to. Although most of the music sounded kind of the same, it was all very different. The lyrics and just the music were outstanding.
This album has 22 songs. About half of them are my favorites, and the other half I just enjoyed listening to. I listened to this album while preparing for school and the first period. It was just a great way to start the day. It felt magical and gave off excellent vibes.
My favorite song on the whole album is “Open Heart.” I’m not sure how to explain it; it’s just an amazing song. The lyrics, the music, the beat—no words can describe this song. Call me dramatic, but I literally started floating mid-class when hearing this.
Other songs I really liked were Given Up On Me, I Can’t Wait To Get There, Big Sleep, The Abyss, and a few more. Given Up On Me would have been my top song, but the other half of the song is boring to me after the beat switch, but I love the first half of it.
For The Abyss, I love the vocals so much, especially Lana Del Rey’s part; it’s just so magical. I Can’t Wait To Get There; the background vocals just give the song so much flavor.
Lastly for Big Sleep the beginning part and beat switch is also my favorite part.
Although there were other songs I really enjoyed on this album, there were some I snoozed on, but overall, it’s 9/10. The transition to each song was perfect; you could not tell when a new song was playing each time. This album was the perfect way to end The Weeknd’s trilogy, and I can’t wait to hear more from Abel Tesfaye.
