We have less than a week until the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and the final Nintendo Direct, which contains the Switch only, has been released with several new games and updates.

Footage has been released for the upcoming remakes of Dragon Quest 1 and 2, set to launch in 2025. Fans can look forward to enhanced visuals, updated gameplay mechanics, and a nostalgic return to the classic RPG experience.

A new title, “No Sleep for Kaname Date,” was revealed, promising intriguing storylines and compelling gameplay. While details are still limited, this game is expected to captivate players with its unique narrative and engaging mechanics.

A new remastered game is Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. This remastered edition promises enhanced graphics, upgraded audio, and refined gameplay mechanics that will immerse both new players and fans of the original. Set in the Capital of Taisho 20, he must investigate supernatural cases.

Other games include Shadow Labyrinth, Remaster of Patapon and Patapon 2, and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

New news has been announced for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.  Samus lands on the planet of Viewros and is stranded on the planet. She must escape by examining the old statutes on the planet and fight off alien hordes. She is granted ancient powers like psychic Abilities to operate mechanisms and allow her to control her beams.  Would she fight her way out of here? Other news includes Disney Villain Cursed Cafe, Witchbook, The Eternal Life of Goldman, Graduis Origin, Rift of the Necrodancer, and Tamagotchi Plaza.

They also recapped the Pokémon Z-A story and mechanics of the game.

A new game called Rhythm Heaven Groove will be released in 2026. It focuses on Groove and timing, similar to the WarioWare series.

They also introduced virtual game cards. You can download games from the E-Shop and get a digital virtual game card to put on a second Switch and play everywhere.

The final closing news includes High on Life, Star Overdrive, The Wandering Village, King of the Meat, Lou’s Lagoon, Fanaisty Life 1, Saga Frontier 2 remaster, Monument Valley, Monument Valley 2, and Monument Valley 3, Everybody’s Golf Hot Spots, and Marvel Cosmic invasion.

The final game announcement includes Tomodachi Life, Living the Dream, the first in over 10 years.

They also launched an app called Nintendo Today, which allows users to view news about the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
