Valentine’s Day Poetry

Valentine's Day Poetry

Today is Valentines Day 2020 and the Oracle would like to share some poetry with you.

My Valentine By Debane Mendoza

All sweet sugar and no spice

Radient smile so full of bliss

Come on just one small kiss

He has me so hypnotized

Angels sing when we hold hands

Never stops making me surprised

Gentle touches leave me weak

Elusive words dare let me speak

Lovely eyes that sparkle so bright

Say you’ll be my valentine tonight

i carry your heart with me

By E.E. Cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in

my heart)i am never without it(anywhere

i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing,my darling)

i fear

no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want

no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows

higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Your Name ____ By, Remalyn Flores (CCHS Senior)

At midnight, in the cloudless February skies

the constellations seem to speak your name

my hearts desire is projected to the glowing moon

and every night, the response is always the same

Starlight trickles across the darkened canvas

in search of a love, both warm and true;

if all the planets were to suddenly align

would your smile burn bright like the stars in the deep blue?

Much like the moon adores the sun’s light

do I wish to accompany your space journey

“through every meteor shower, through every storm.”

like the breathtaking comet, you set me free.

At midnight, in the vastness of the open sky

the stars seem to softly whisper your name

my hear beats longingly to hear it once more

because I only wonder if you feel the same

My Wife 4 Life By, Tupac

I hope u heard me when I asked
u that night 2 be my wife
Not for this year or next
But mine for all your life
2 accept me when I sin
and understand me when I fail
Not 2 mention standing the rain
which comes down as hard as hail
I am not the best of men
My faults could scare the night
But my heart is always pure 2 my wife 4 life
