2018 Poll Election Results
Earlier in November the midterm elections took place. Here are the results for the most known problems that have been solved in California and see where your vote mattered.
Governor – Gavin Newsom Democrat 4,158,682 Votes 60%
U.S Senate – Dianne Feinstein Democrat 3,358,152 Votes 54%
U.S District 4 – Tom McClintock GOP 120,601 Votes 55%
U.S District 10 – Jeff Denham GOP 56,701 Votes 51%
Proposition 6: Gas Tax Repeal – No 3,801,276 Votes 55%
Proposition 7: Daylight Savings Changes – Yes 4,020,376 Votes 60%
Proposition 10: Rent Control – No 4,236,035 Votes 62%
Sacramento Measure U: Sales Tax – Yes 27,393 Votes 55%
Elk Grove Mayor – Steve Ly 8,714 Votes 47%
West Sacramento- Christopher Cabaldon 5,187 Votes 53%
To become a voter you must fulfill the following requirements:
- A legal citizen of the United States.
- A legal resident of California.
- 18 years or older by Election Day.
- Not currently in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
- Not found mentally incompetent by a court.
If you fit the requirements from above and would like to register as a voter in California then you will need to fill out and submit the form through online or by mail. If you prefer you can also choose to register to vote by going into the DMV. The deadline to register is before midnight 15 days before the election, but if you miss the deadline you r information will still be processed and submitted for the next upcoming election season.
