Eco-Anxiety

The fears surrounding environmental issues may be common, but more extreme fears regarding this are addressed as “eco-anxiety”. As the climate worsens, people are growing more worried and fearful of these types of issues. Some even fear a mass extinction in the future which heightens their anxieties for future generations. While it’s not recognized as an official health issue or diagnosis, worries about these issues can lead to certain health problems induced by stress.  

To lessen your worries surrounding climate change, you can try taking part and contributing with others to make positive changes for the planet. Remember to practice self-care, take breaks from all the climate news, and seek help if needed!  

Though on a different note, there have been positive changes made for the sake of the climate. Various countries are joined under a climate agreement to make changes and others signing to try and make carbon cuts. Renewable energy is being used more frequently these days too along with businesses beginning to go green.
