Foodie Land Night Market is a food-inspired three-day event with food, drinks, shopping at small-owned businesses, and live entertainment. With over 185 food vendors there to share what food they make. The point of the night market is to get people to try new foods from so many different cultures. Many vendors come and join the event, also many local businesses come and get to show off what work they do as well.
The foodie land festival I went to was the one at the Golden Gates Fields in Berkeley, California. I went on the first day of the event. At the 4:00 p.m. time slot, the entree was free for most people as long as you got your tickets for food online. For my family of five, we got into the event for free because we all purchased online food tickets.
Once we arrived we went ahead and got drinks which the lines for were already long, but surprisingly fast. It took about eleven minutes to get a drink. The best drinks there in my opinion were the mango pineapple lemonade in a huge baby bottle and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake that came with a strawberry shortcake ice cream inside of it.
As far as food goes, one of the best foods that I had tried was the lobster pasta that contained shredded lobster and pasta with melted fresh parmesan. Also, the homemade vanilla ice cream topped with Nutella and fresh strawberries on top of churro chips. Those dishes were the best things we tried on the day.
At the event there wasn’t just food, there were two areas with live entertainment and a section with games that were very fun yet hard at the same time. After playing the games I went home with two small plush toys. They also have numerous small-owned businesses there selling and promoting their products. There were stands with stickers, plush toys, clothes, Croc charms, action figures, and much more.
In my experience at the Foodie Land Night with my family, I would definitely do it again!
The next date is Labor Day weekend right here in Sacramento!
