Well, that’s all, folks. According to many newspapers, Max has removed all 255 episodes of Looney Tunes, the original show that first aired in the 1930s.
Looney Tunes is full of well-known and popular characters like Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, etc. However, the series was owned by Warner Bros., which also owned Max. Having the series you own and removing it from your streaming service makes no sense. This is a stunning reversal from what they said in 2023, when they said the series wouldn’t be removed anytime soon.
This worries many people because it sends a disturbing message: “You don’t own anything, and you will be happy.” You can still watch it on other streaming services like Tubi, etc. Discs and DVDs containing Looney Tunes episodes are also available in stores.
