It finally happened. The Nintendo Direct for the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed and was fantastic. It showed many things that happened.
The first Nintendo Switch 2 game was Mario Kart World. Instead of 12 racers, they included 24 racers. There is also a knockout tour where you will be eliminated when you fail to be in a specific place. You can also explore courses on your own and with your friends. Another Nintendo Direct featuring Mario Kart World will be released on April 17th. It will be released on the same day on the Switch 2.
The new Joy-Con controllers included a new C button and the Chat button. The game chat is the latest feature of the Switch 2. The microphone is built into the system. Even if it is noisy, your voice will still be evident. You can also share your game screen with your friends, play different games while using it, and expand the screen. A new accessory called the Switch 2 camera can allow people to share their faces.
Game sharing is also introduced. With backward-compatible games, you can game share on the Switch 2 to other Switch 2s and the Switch 1. You can do it for three systems.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is very different from the First one. The screen of the Switch 2 is 7.9 inches compared to the Switch 6.2 inches. The Switch 2 and Switch thicknesses are the same at 13.9 cm. They also support games at 1080p HD mode and up to 120 fps. It also supports HDR. The SL and SR buttons are more significant than the switch ones. You can also use the mouse controllers.
The sounds are also clearer. It uses noise-calling technology, so your voice will remain clear. The stand is also thinner. The first Switch storage is 32GB, while the Switch 2 is 256 GB. It also has a dock that can support 4 K. Of course, Switch One games are backwards compatible.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome tour is a game that allows people to experience the Switch 2’s functionality. It is identical to the Astro room, where people can experience the PS5 controller.
The Switch 2 game cards are similar to the 1 in size. But they are in red and they have data on reading speed. They also support SD cards. The Switch one SD card won’t work. You can transfer data from the first switch to Switch 2. They also introduced the Switch 2 Pro controller.
The Switch 2 will be released on June 5th.
Some games will have Switch 2 Editions, such as the Super Mario Party Jamaboree, The Legend of Zelda series, Kirby the Forgotten Land, Metroid Prime 4, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
