McDonald’s recent release of their collaboration with the new Minecraft Movie shows both the kids’ and adult meals. They both have toys,
and they vary in portions of food. The choices for adults include a 10-piece nugget with fries or a Big Mac with fries, along with their new ketchup sauce, and a drink and a toy, for around $12. Kids’ meal has a hamburger or Chicken McNuggets, 4 pieces or 6.
piece, along with small fries, apple slices, and a drink for $7-$8. The toys for adults include figures with codes that can be redeemed for Minecraft skins. Kids get another set of toys to play with, but it isn’t the same as including codes.
I have tried the adult meal and was able to obtain the Big Mac toy and the Grimace Egg. I loved the display of how the Grimace Egg looked silly, but the Big Mac toy looked basic and had little detail.
The in-game content that was redeemable was also fascinating. The grimace skin looked funky with its large body text, and the Big Mac skin looked a little creepy to me. I chose the option that had the nuggets and sauce. It was nice; the sauce was tangy, almost like buffalo sauce, but extremely spicy. Overall I enjoyed the concept of the meals and toys and the collaboration was fantastic.
