Coming up with first period tardy sweeps was the best idea administration could have come up with! Even though not everyone enjoys the idea, we should all appreciate the thought.

The administrative team started the tardy sweep to hope that the percentage of students being late would drop. Even though students are just getting to class later, we guess it’s okay since it was the administrators amazing idea. It was also to show students it is a great idea and they should appreciate the thought that administrators do somewhat care about us and they don’t want us to be late.

So many students dislike the idea that the administrators came up with. Many of them feel like we should not have a first period tardy sweep.

“I do not like the tardy sweep. I feel that every other period should be a tardy sweep, but not first period because of the traffic,” said Sergio Fernadez, 11.

But, there are at least some other students who appreciate the thought and kind of do like having it.

“I don’t agree with it because of all the traffic. But, it is an alright idea to have,” said Alicia Huerta, 10.

We should recognize the thought and appreciate the things that our administrators do for our school. We know not everyone likes the thought just because it makes the students more late, gets them angrier when coming to school and think that giving detention to the students is going to help any problem, but  in reality it is the best idea that they have came up with! They all are just trying to make our school better every year. They want to make sure that we students get here on time, with the exception of being more late because they only have one CSM to scan everyone’s ID card.

Nevertheless, they still want to help with our education. The adminstrators want us to realize that we can’t be late to first period because we are missing out on some of our education. They have us asking ourself, that isn’t first period just as important as the other periods?

“Yes going to first period is important, but the only reason why I’m late is because I didn’t set my alarm,” said Jaime Nova, 11.

Administration came up with the brightest idea to have period one tardy sweeps, which was smart because the only way of teaching us that we need to get here on time is by making us more late to class and stopping us from learning!
