The greatest american rock band
Who is the greatest American band and why? Some people may argue that it’s Guns N Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, or even The Doors. I’ll admit that every one of those bands is fantastic and have unique sounds and different characteristics that make them each different.
Guns N’ Roses makes you feel nostalgic and makes you reminisce in almost every song, while Fleetwood Mac had a killer female lead singer who made wearing a shawl iconic. Nirvana makes you feel like you’re in a Tony Hawk game stuck in the 90s, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers make you feel like you’re high off LSD. Green Day always sounds like they’re singing on a radio or walkie talkie, while The Doors makes you feel like you’re smoking a cigarette with a glass of whiskey at 2 in the morning on a balcony.
All are great in their own right, but what makes a band the BEST? In my opinion, the best band makes you feel more than one emotion when listening to their music. Whether it be sadness, love, anger, excitement, etc.
A band that can make you smile, scream AND cry. A band that never gets old no matter how long they’ve been playing for or how old a song is. A band that just screams legend when any song comes on. A band that literally has a lasting effect on rock and roll music across generations.
In my opinion, the greatest American rock band that encompasses all from above is Aerosmith. Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton, Ray Tabano, Jimmy Crespo, Rick Dufay, and Steven freakin Tyler are all-STARS.
