Netflix Review: Ginny and Georgia
Ginny and Georgia is a Netflix show that was released on February 24, 2021. The show follows a fifteen-year-old daughter and her young single mother. They move from Texas to the suburbs of Massachusetts in an effort to create a fresh new start. The show includes more than the two tense relationships, but also teen drama, a shady past, and a bit of crime drama.
In all honesty, I was not going to watch the show because I saw a few cringy clips on TikTok, but a certain character, Marcus, caught my eye. So yes I only watched the show to see the actor Felix Mallard. Although the show has a few questionable moments, I couldn’t stop watching it. I finished the whole season in 2 days and do not regret it.
I enjoy that the show includes real-life issues like; discrimination, teen pregnancy, self-harm, and many more. I recommended the show to a friend and she finished it within days also. It is safe to say I will be eagerly waiting for a season 2.
