2021 Subaru WRX STI Specs and Review

The Subaru WRX STI model is one of Subaru’s most iconic sports cars ever to be made since 1992. The 2021 Subaru WRX STI cost around $37,245. It comes with its famous 2.5 liters, 4 pistons, turbocharged boxer engine that produces a whopping 310 horsepower and 290-foot pounds of torque. This power is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and also includes Brembo’s front 6 piston and 2 piston rear brakes for the best performance. The driver has a Controlled Center Differential that uses an electronic control system to vary the torque distribution for a quick and smooth response. With its all-wheel-drive system, 310 hp it can do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph. The STI fuel capacity is 15.9 gal. and you get 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

Fun fact: According to Subaru’s website, “The WRX STI is inspired by generations of STI rally cars, which have carried Subaru Motorsports USA to 13 of the last 15 U.S. national rally championships and a rallycross championship in 2019.”

The exterior of this car looks very aggressive with its sharp body lines. The headlights, front bumper, 19-inch wheels, and hood scoop makes this car look very aggressive. Also as well as the rear trunk spoiler giving it a sportier look and better performance.

There is nothing that I really hate about this car. As an owner of this car, the driving experience in this car is phenomenal. The interior of the car comes with nice suede seats that are very comfortable. It comes with Subaru’s Starlink technology that allows you to use Bluetooth, radio, apple car play, etc. I like how the clutch feels very smooth and the engagement of the by point. The shifter has a short throw making it easier to select a gear and being able to rev-match when downshifting.

My final thought on the 2021 Subaru WRX STI is that it’s a great sports car with good performance and looks. I would recommend and encourage people to look more into this car if they are interested in looking for a sports car.
