The 2021 Met Gala was last month and overall it was pretty disappointing for me. There were few icons, and the American Fashion theme was too vague.

Most of the attendants looked basic, but of course, that fits American Fashion. However, a select few of the Met’s looks were absolutely beautiful. (Going from left to right below) I absolutely adored Yara Shahidi’s Dior look. She was one of the first few attendants to appear at this year’s Met, and she looked amazing. Iman’s Harris Reed look was marvelous, the head piece matching the dress is the cherry on top. Kendall Jenner in Givenchy was gorgeous. I love how this look was inspired by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. Anok Yai was honestly the best dressed of the bunch if you ask me. She simply radiates elegance. Megan Thee Stallion looked lovely in her Coach dress, very simple and classy. Chloe and Halle Bailey stunned in their Hollywood siren and Tina Turner inspired looks.  And Lastly, Billie Eilish looked like a vintage pretty princess in her dress. 

I would have loved to include more looks, but unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with many. 2022’s Met Gala is said to keep the American fashion theme as well. Hoping to see more A-list celebs like Beyoncé next year.
