As the autumn breeze replaces the summer heat, fashion lovers are starting to dive into what’s next. And as a Pinterest girly, I can already sense what’s coming for fall 2024. It’s important to understand how to predict trends, first, you see it on social media, then you see it on runways, and then it’s in the stores for all consumers to buy. This season you’ll see some trends from last year and some from the summer as consumers become more aware of their purchases’ impact on the environment. It’s important to know that you don’t have to follow these trends, wear what you want, these trends should inspire you to find your style and not pressure you to keep up with them! 

Leopard Print

Leopard print is timeless and you’re going to see a lot of it this season.  From coats to shoes, you’ll see it on everything including pants, bags,  bows, and more! I think anyone can pull off leopard print, just not too much of it though. 

Knee High Boots

Following the cowboy boot trend will be knee-high boots, specifically square-toed boots. Boots are an autumn staple and this fall they’re wearing it with high-boot socks. I think these boots will be so cute, specifically paired with any kind of skirt. 

Off-the-Shoulder Sweaters

Off-the-shoulder sweaters have been trending for a while and we’re going to continue to see it. But I think this season we’ll see more oversized and chunkier knit versions.

Suede 

Suede is a fall staple. It’s going to be everywhere, on shoes, boots, coats, bags, and more! Many people are raving over suede coats for this next season and I think it’s cute! But I wouldn’t wear that.

Polka Dots

Lately, I’ve been seeing polka dots in trendy clothing stores. Although I haven’t been seeing many people on social media wearing it, I believe it’s going to come back. It’s a really cute pattern and more people should wear it. 

Burgundy

The color of fall 2024 is going to be burgundy. We’ll see lots of burgundy this fall, especially in accessories like purses, scarves, shoes, and more! I think burgundy can be styled just as accessories instead of a full burgundy outfit. 

Maxi skirt and sweater combo

Summer 2024 was all about maxi skirts and it’s going to come through in fall as well. I’ve seen some people say lace maxi skirts will be around and I think that would be so cute. But this fall, you’ll see it paired with sweaters especially. 

Ballet flats

Gigi Hadid brought back ballet flats last year. I think these ballet flats are going to continue to thrive this fall. Ballet flats would be styled perfectly with crew socks or any kind of slouchy socks. 

Fur

Faux fur is coming back in different shapes and forms this season. You’ll see fur coats, fur hats, and even fur bags. Fur bags sounds bizarre but I actually think they could be very cute with a simple outfit.  

Bag Charms 

For fall 2024, bags are going to have touches of everyone’s personality. This season bags are going to be decked out in accessories like charms, mini pouches, bandannas, and more! 

Plaid/Gingham

This summer I saw people wearing gingham shorts so I believe the gingham trend will fall into the next season in different ways along with plaid. I think plaid scarves and bags would be so cute. 

Cardigans

Cardigans are a staple in anyone’s closet. This Fall, cardigans are going to be worn specifically buttoned at the top only. It’s also going to be mostly in a warm-toned gray, burgundy, or olive green. 

Fall 2024 is going to be an exciting season with a mix of classic and fresh trends.
