Yessica Lopez is a 17-year-old senior and one of the few girls that are joining the Girls’ Tennis team for this year. This would be her second year playing the sport. She enjoys playing tennis because of all of the competition that surrounds the sport. Lopez’s favorite shot is her forehand and her least favorite shot is her backhand.

“I want to play singles because I don’t like depending on the other person in doubles,” said Lopez.

She hopes to improve not only herself but as a whole team. Her motivation to play, is the tough competition that each school has.
