A sophomore named Niomi Atkins plays for the JV volleyball team. Atkins has been playing for five years. She doesn’t have anyone that she looks up to in this sport. Atkins also plays the position of a setter. Her position is very important because the setter is a quarterback in football.

A setter is in charge of offense and decides who should get the ball and when. It doesn’t matter how good the team is if it doesn’t have a setter. A setter can consistently deliver a good ball to hit. That’s why a setter position is really important.

Atkins season goals are to “Try our best in every game” said Atkins.

Volleyball is played with two teams being divided by a net. The objective of the game is to hit the ball over the net to hit it on the opponent’s court, and to prevent the same effort by the opponent.
