Lakers Injuries
The 2019-20 regular season hasn’t even started yet and the Lakers are already dealing with injuries. Power Forward Kyle Kuzma has been benched due to suffering a stress fracture in his foot while playing with Team USA over the offseason. And now joining him is Anthony Davis, who left the preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets in China on Saturday with a sprained right thumb. The good news however, is that the Lakers don’t believe that he suffered any ligament damage. He will undergo an MRI as a precaution on Monday, after a flight delayed the team from returning to L.A. early Sunday morning. The team on the other hand is treating this injury as a Grade 1 Sprain. Davis suffered the injury during the first half of the ball game after swatting at the ball. Though Davis will most likely miss the rest of the Lakers preseason, the obvious hope is that he will be ready to go against the Clippers on October 22nd, opening game of the season.
