NBA legend Kobe Bryant along with his eldest child Gianna Bryant were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas California this Sunday. Bryant was only 41. He and his oldest daughter, 13, were on their way to a travel basketball game when the helicopter crashed. Those along for the flight were a couple teammates, a coach and parents.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said in a news conference that there were no survivors, and according to the flight manifest, there were nine people total on board the helicopter. Los Angeles County Fire Chief Daryl Osby said authorities will not release the names of the victims until they are identified and next of kin are notified. The cause of the crash was unknown, but fog is suspected to be a major reason.
