Las Vegas Raider New Era
Everyone in the football world knows that the Oakland Raiders are moving to Las Vegas and are officially named The Las Vegas Raiders. The brand new stadium that is currently in construction, the Allegiant Stadium, should be finished by July 2020. The total cost estimated has been reported to be 1.9 billion according to the Las Vegas Journal review.
The Raiders have been looking to build their own stadium since the 1980s. They had an opportunity to relocate in Los Angeles, but overlooked it and missed out on the opportunity. Coincidentally it was also the same month the Rams and Chargers moved into their new stadiums in Inglewood, California. After that the Raiders looked into Las Vegas. The owner talked to the Las Vegas governor as well as UNLV and went over the New stadium project with them.
The Raiders then made it official on April 28, 2016 when the owner of the Raiders contributed $500 million towards the construction of a brand new land mark of the soon to be Las Vegas Raiders. In 2017 the Raiders signed a paper to be shifted from Oakland to Las Vegas to start a new Era. The Raiders took a loan of 650 million from the company Bank of America. The team has decided to stay and play in Oakland until the Allegiant Stadium is built and ready to be used for this new season.
The property that’s the Raiders purchased in Las Vegas to build their stadium was estimated to cost around 77.5 million dollars. They started to have construction activity around September 18, 2017. From 2018 to 2019 the stadium will be under construction and getting ready to be announced as the new and improved Allegiant Stadium, home to The Las Vegas Raiders.
Starting this new year off the Raiders construction crew are going to start installing the Stadium chairs estimated to be up to 65,000-72,000 worth brand new chairs. On January 28 around 4 o’clock the Raiders hosted lifelong fan and season ticket holders, the Diaz family to the Allegiant Stadium. The family thought they were getting a tour of the Stadium, but the Raiders had much more in store for them. The team surprised the Diaz family with six chairs in honor in being season ticket holders for 15 years in a row. The Allegiant stadium is going to be the most expensive stadium in the NFL.
