Rockets Move James Harden in Massive Four Team Trade
Superstar James Harden finally gets his new future.
On Wednesday, January 13 we saw a blockbuster trade between a total of four teams to move disgruntled superstar James Harden out of Houston. The trade involves seven players and nine picks (four swaps) between the four NBA teams. The trade details will be listed below.
Houston Rockets Receive: Victor Oladipo, Rodions Kurucs, Dante Exum, four unprotected first-round picks (Brooklyn 2022, 2024 and 2026, Milwaukee 2022), and four first-round pick swaps (2021, 2023, 2025, 2027).
Brooklyn Nets Receive: James Harden
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince
Indiana Pacers Receive: Caris LeVert, 2023 second-round pick (from Houston)
The move comes after multiple comments from the reigning scoring champion about wanting to move on from the Rockets. James Harden created multiple rumors of him being done in H-Town after failing to show up to team practices and being spotted in clubs on social media. Many of his teammates and peers criticized Harden’s work ethic and attitude after he publicly criticized the team stating they “just aren’t good enough” and that he had “done everything I can”.
It seems the Rockets will be playing for the future after trading their franchise player for draft capital. Could this could be the start of an eternal age of mediocrity or the biggest draft fleece in recent history?
