This year the NBA made a 65-game rule, requiring NBA players to play at least 65 of the 82 games in the season to be eligible to win season awards such as MVP, DPOY, IPOY, Sixth man, and ROY.
There are a lot of people disagreeing with this rule, mainly because of injuries. While others believe it’s because of NBA players resting for games or load management.
Last year’s MVP Joel Embiid will not be going back to back due to him injuring his knee causing him to miss more than 17 games. Former MVP Charles Barkley stated, “I thought it should have been 70 games, personally.”
However, what do you think? Is the NBA being too harsh on NBA players or are the players the ones to blame?
