The tension of the upcoming boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio will be the most extreme fight of all time. Many students at Cesar Chavez High are pretty hyped about the fight on May 2nd, 2015. Mayweather and Pacquaio are the best boxing fighters of the world. The fight is located at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. Although the fight will be occurring in two months, many students are constantly debating who will win the fight.

Pacquiao’s fans are eager for him to win the match. Senior, Allan Moua, stated, “He has better endurance and power than Mayweather.” However, Amara Prohm, junior, said, “Mayweather will win because I don’t think he’ll ever lose.” Many people have stated that Mayweather was undefeatable. According Mayweather’s boxing record, Mayweather have never lost a match before. Although Mayweather have never lost before, Pacquiao’s fan still believe that Pacquiao will win.

Junior, Geryko Menta said, “Pacquiao has a chance to win because he’s Filipino.”

On the other hand, Junior, Adrian Castalon-Pichardo said, “Mayweather will win because he’s black.”

Apparently, this fight is becoming a racial debate. Regardless of the fighter’s ability and potential, many people are rooting for a fighter based on their race and nationality.

RESULTS

There were a total of 60 students, voting for either Mayweather or Pacquiao. According to the pie graph, 35 of the 60 students voted for Pacquiao. The 25 students believed that Mayweather would win the fight. The results of the winnter will be revealed on May 2nd, 2015 after the match.
