Who let the dogs out!?
SUSD has created a K-9 program with a contraband dog named Yoda.
Yoda will benefit the SUSD in many ways. Yoda is a contraband dog, he’s trained to find methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and firearms.
“He hasn’t found anything yet. It’s only our second day,” the dog handler, Officer Curtis jue said.
They used to pay a service called Interquest $48,000 for a dog to come in, which is a lot. Yoda belongs to the SUSD, and they only paid $5,000.
“There is a feeding, and there will be some visits from time to time, but this will save us a lot of money,” Chief Bryon Gustafson said.
Since Yoda is full of energy, everywhere Yoda goes he’s sniffing everything in his path.
Overall Yoda is going to be a big help to our schools.
