Cesar Chavez High School has two players selected to the 2018 Northern California Volleyball All Star team in Asha Cook and Erica Castro. Both of these students have excelled in their field, going on a 3 game winning streak before eventually taking a loss against Stagg, to close out the season. Erica Castro was the setter of the team and had a great season in that position earning herself team MVP. Asha Cook was an opposite hitter and also had a phenomenal season. However, the Chavez girls varsity volleyball team had a disappointing record of 4-14 on the season and 4-6 in league. Asha Cook led the team in kills (spikes) in multiple games while Erica Castro led the team in assists on multiple occasions.
