Someplace in the middle of the desert, Coachella just happened. This year’s festival started on Friday, April 12, and lasted until the 14th for weekend 1 and April 19 through the 21st for weekend 2. The headliners this year were mainly a hit. Lana Del Ray became a main hit with her music perfect for a time to vibe out. With Billie Eilish coming out as her special guest, was a very memorable performance that weekend.
The second day’s headliner Tyler the Creator came on Saturday. His discography is known for suiting a concert set list, especially at a music festival as big as Coachella. He didn’t disappoint, coming in with visuals, songs, and guests. We saw Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Kali Uchis, and Charlie Wilson.
Doja Cat was the last headliner and had a visually appealing stage. The guest she brought out was an acapella group, The Joy.
There weren’t just headliners catching everyone’s attention, but a range of artists. Some special mentions were Sabrina Carpenter, ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM, Ice Spice, Hatsune Miku, Deftones, and Jhene Aiko just to name a few that rocked the Coachella stage.
With Weekend 1 and 2 coming to an end, those who attended seemed to enjoy the California annual music festival. It is always a great place to not only enjoy all ranges of your favorite artists and music genres, but it’s a known place to show up with the craziest outfits because it’s more normalized and shouldn’t have you worried about being judged.
The biggest takeaway from spending nearly $500, excluding costs from camping and parking, is living
the weekend freely with your closest friends while enjoying the loud music of your favorite artists and being surrounded by the visual arts placed throughout the festival.
